Based on the most recent research report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is in the process of developing the second-generation MacBook Neo. This new model is anticipated to hit the market in 2027 and is rumored to incorporate a touchscreen—a first for an entry-level Mac laptop. This week, Apple has formally rolled out its latest entry-level notebook, the MacBook Neo. Priced starting at $599, or $499 with an educational discount, the product is designed to take on the affordable Windows notebook and Chromebook segments. Additionally, it aims to broaden the Mac product range by offering a more budget-friendly option. The MacBook Neo boasts an aluminum chassis available in four color choices. It comes with a 13-inch Liquid Retina display, is powered by the A18 Pro chip, and provides up to 16 hours of battery life, adequately serving daily office and learning requirements.
