On March 4, Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group, announced that the company will introduce an upgraded version of its in-house mobile processor chip on an annual basis, adopting a release cycle akin to that of Apple’s A-series chips. The inaugural 3nm Xuanjie O1 chip, developed in-house, was unveiled last year. This year, the latest iteration of the chip will debut in new smartphone models in the Chinese market, with plans to subsequently roll it out in international markets. Moreover, Lu Weibing disclosed that Xiaomi is in the process of creating a new AI assistant tailored for overseas markets. The company intends to collaborate with Google’s Gemini model and will launch this AI assistant concurrently with the global debut of Xiaomi’s vehicles.
