According to information leaked by MEGAsizeGPU—a source that has reliably revealed NVIDIA product details on numerous occasions in the past—NVIDIA is reportedly planning to launch a 9GB VRAM variant of the existing RTX 5050. The current RTX 5050 model is equipped with 8GB of 20Gbps GDDR6 VRAM, utilizing a 128-bit memory bus to deliver a memory bandwidth of 320GB/s. The upcoming variant will transition to 3GB GDDR7 VRAM modules, culminating in a total capacity of 9GB via a 96-bit memory bus. Despite the narrower bus width, the adoption of 28Gbps GDDR7 VRAM will result in an overall bandwidth increase to 336GB/s, marking an approximate 5% enhancement. Simultaneously, the memory capacity will experience a 12.5% uptick. Regarding core specifications, the 9GB variant is anticipated to retain the Blackwell architecture's GB207 GPU, boasting 2560 CUDA cores and maintaining a total board power of 130W. At present, there are no indications of any modifications to clock speeds or core counts.
