Samsung’s newly launched Galaxy S26 series has taken system-level integration with Gemini to the next level, introducing the Gemini smartphone assistant, which is designed to seamlessly assist users in completing tasks. Users can activate Gemini at the system level simply by long-pressing the side button, turning it into a convenient gateway for managing their to-do lists. Gemini is capable of automatically carrying out multi-step operations, allowing users to continue using their phones while monitoring progress, intervening, or halting tasks in real-time via the notification bar. It is worth noting that some of the task execution functionalities of the Gemini smartphone assistant are realized through a GUI-based approach.
