On December 11, 2025, the South African father-son duo, Luke Bell and Mike Bell, successfully set a new Guinness World Record for the ground speed of a battery-powered remote-controlled quadcopter in Cape Town. Their self-made 3D-printed drone, the 'Peregreen V4', achieved an average speed of 657.59 km/h in two opposing runs that complied with Guinness rules.
