Dimming glass technology, a staple in premium bathroom and office interiors, has now ventured into a fresh arena. The NextGear Clear Shift series PC case, a brainchild of Japanese computer manufacturer Mouse Computer, boasts an electrically adjustable dimming glass panel for its chassis. This innovative feature enables users to effortlessly transition between a transparent view and a frosted aesthetic. When in transparent mode, the internal hardware and vibrant RGB lighting effects are showcased in all their glory; conversely, the frosted mode conceals the internal components, allowing only a gentle glow to filter through, creating an ethereal atmosphere.

The case is designed with an unobstructed "ocean view" layout, free from vertical supports, and is compatible with 360mm water cooling systems and ATX power supplies. It also comes equipped with detachable magnetic dust filters on both the top and bottom for easy maintenance. A single button press on the top of the case allows users to adjust the glass transparency, while 10 preset lighting modes offer a range of visual effects.

The NextGear EG series gaming PCs, which come with this case, are available in a multitude of configurations. Processor options span from AMD Ryzen 5 4500 to Ryzen 7 7700, with graphics cards ranging from NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 to RTX 5070, or AMD Radeon RX 9060 and RX 9060XT. Pricing for the series begins at 164,800 yen, with the premium model reaching 309,800 yen. At present, the case is exclusively offered as part of a bundle with the NextGear EG series, and there are no immediate plans for it to be sold separately.
