Recently, a fleet of sleek, blue-and-white autonomous patrol vehicles, adorned with police lights and equipped with pan-tilt-zoom camera systems, has made its debut on select roads within the High-Tech Zone of Hefei, Anhui Province. Referred to affectionately by locals as the 'autonomous traffic police vehicle,' these cutting-edge vehicles have been diligently patrolling the streets since March of the previous year. Covering a daily distance of over 40 kilometers, their primary focus is on the area surrounding Shuxi Lake, where they conduct intelligent surveillance and management of illegal on-street parking.

Employing a strategy of mobile patrols and real-time alerts, these vehicles achieve a seamless, closed-loop management system for illegal parking. The autonomous vehicle is capable of patrolling independently and automatically detecting vehicles parked in violation of regulations. Upon identifying an illegally parked car, it captures photographic evidence, followed by issuing voice prompts through an onboard speaker and dispatching text messages to notify the vehicle owner to relocate their vehicle. Should the vehicle remain stationary after approximately 10 minutes, a second photograph is taken. The collected evidence is then transmitted to the backend system. After a thorough review by traffic police personnel, it is officially entered into the penalty system, serving as concrete evidence for non-onsite enforcement actions.
