During an investor engagement session, GAC Group announced that its flying car, the GOVY AirCab, had already amassed nearly 2,000 intent orders (letters of intent) by the specified time. At present, the flying car is undergoing a rigorous airworthiness certification process, with expectations set for certification and subsequent delivery by the end of this year. The GOVY AirCab made its debut in June of the previous year, boasting an official guide price capped at 1.68 million yuan.
The aircraft's fuselage is extensively constructed using aerospace-grade carbon fiber composite materials, rendering it ideal for low-altitude sightseeing and cultural tourism excursions. Notable features of the flying car include a top-mounted rotor, gull-wing door design, fast-charging capabilities, and a two-seat configuration. The cabin is outfitted with 5G network connectivity, while safety is prioritized through redundant flight control navigation systems, among other measures. The GOVY AirCab boasts L4-level autonomous driving capabilities, with computing power surpassing 500 tera-operations per second (TOPS) and a maximum detection range extending beyond 300 meters.
