Owing to a severe shortage of memory supplies, ASUS has made the decision to halt the production of NVIDIA RTX 5060 and 5070 Ti graphics cards that come equipped with 16GB of video memory. Notably, the availability of the RTX 5070 Ti through partners and distributors has been suspended, with no resumption expected at least until the first quarter of 2026. Similarly, the production of the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB variant is on the verge of being discontinued.

Graphics card manufacturers are currently facing significant challenges in procuring an adequate number of GPU chips from NVIDIA, despite there being a robust market demand for these two specific graphics card models. ASUS has officially acknowledged the strong demand for NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs but has also highlighted the constraints posed by limited memory supplies. The company is continuing to fulfill orders and is actively collaborating with suppliers to enhance memory availability.

The consumer graphics card market is currently grappling with a dire situation, characterized by a scarcity of memory chips. This scarcity has driven up prices and restricted the availability of video memory chips. Additionally, NVIDIA has redirected a substantial portion of its production capacity towards AI data center chips, which has led to a reduction or complete cessation in the supply of certain graphics cards. Given these circumstances, it is likely that the trend of supply shortages and consequent price hikes will persist.
