According to IDC's preliminary data, in the fourth quarter of 2025, global smartphone shipments witnessed a 2.3% year - on - year increase, totaling 336.3 million units. For the entire year, global shipments reached a staggering 1.26 billion units. In the Chinese market, the estimated total smartphone shipments for the whole of 2025 stand at approximately 285 million units. This figure, however, reflects a 0.6% year - on - year decline. When it comes to shipment volume, the top five brands in China are Huawei, Apple, vivo, Xiaomi, and OPPO. Smartphone manufacturers are currently grappling with heightened cost pressures. This is mainly due to the anticipated substantial hike in storage prices. Given this situation, industry experts predict that China's smartphone market shipments could experience a significant drop in 2026.
