The official Weibo account of Xiaomi HyperOS has announced the introduction of a stock market information viewing feature on the back screen of the Xiaomi 17 Pro series. This innovative addition enables users to swiftly check real-time stock prices and movements with a simple downward swipe on the back screen. The feature is being rolled out gradually, and users can access it by upgrading to OS version 3.0.40.0. To set it up, navigate to: Settings > Magic Back Screen > Back Screen Service Assistant. Once 'Stock Market' is enabled, users can customize their back screen's pull-down menu by adding frequently monitored stocks.

As a standout feature, the Magic Back Screen also facilitates a range of practical operations, including conversation translation. The back screen itself measures 2.66 inches. Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group, disclosed that the development of this back screen technology incurred a cost of 1 billion yuan. He further mentioned that the next generation of Xiaomi mobile phones will retain the back screen design, with an increased investment in research and development.
