A report from CINNO Research reveals that the mobile phone panel market stepped into its traditional slow season in January 2026, coinciding with a continued surge in upstream memory prices. In an effort to mitigate cost burdens, terminal brands took the initiative to slash their shipment goals as a risk control measure. This proactive step resulted in a marked decline in the demand for mobile phone panels. With terminal demand falling short, upstream panel manufacturers faced mounting pressure on their operational rates, which, in turn, intensified the downward pressure on prices. The institution forecasts that for the months of January and February 2026, prices for a-Si modules and LTPS panels are likely to experience a downturn. Similarly, prices for flexible AMOLED panels are also expected to persist in their downward trajectory.
