ByteDance’s large-model app, 'Doubao,' has achieved significant acclaim. As per domestic media sources, the inaugural AI glasses developed by the 'Doubao' team have reached the shipment preparation phase and are on the verge of being delivered to consumers. This collaborative effort between ByteDance and Longcheer Technology was initiated less than a year ago. The research and development process took place at Longcheer's Huizhou facility, with mass production slated for its Nanchang plant.
The glasses will incorporate a self-developed spatial algorithm chip, ensuring a lightweight design of under 50 grams. They are set to be introduced in various configuration versions, boasting features such as photography and display capabilities. The initial price point is anticipated to be capped at 2,000 yuan. According to the release schedule, the screenless variant will make its debut in the first quarter of this year, followed by the version equipped with a display in the fourth quarter. Nevertheless, ByteDance has clarified that a definitive sales strategy has not yet been established.
