For an extended period, the 'recommended' content and advertisements within the Windows 11 system have been a source of irritation for users. From the initial setup phase right through to the Start menu, users have been bombarded with a steady stream of app promotions and AI service recommendations. Recently, Microsoft has implemented modifications to empower users with greater control over certain features. For instance, users now have the option to disable the promoted content in the 'recommended' segment of the Start menu. Additionally, they can turn off sync notification ads in File Explorer, system tips and suggestion pop-ups, lock screen ads, personalized ads in the Microsoft Store, as well as Windows search ads via the settings. This way, users can revel in a more streamlined and ad-free user experience.
