On December 31st, the Financial Times reported that Trump Mobile, a phone company within the Trump Organization, has delayed the rollout of its gold-colored smartphone, which was initially slated for release by the end of this year. Originally, the company had intended to introduce a $499 smartphone manufactured in the U.S., aiming to rival major brands such as Apple and Samsung. However, it subsequently revised its objectives. The customer service team at Trump Mobile explained that the shutdown of the U.S. government has caused the delay in the phone's delivery, making it "highly improbable" that the device will be shipped this month. Back in June of this year, the company unveiled the 'T1' model, along with a monthly phone plan costing $47.45. This move represents one of several strategies employed by the Trump family business to leverage its re-entry into the White House.
