The escalating costs of storage components have triggered a significant uptick in PC manufacturing expenses, sending ripples across the industry. On the 30th, ASUS issued a formal notice, revealing its intention to implement strategic price adjustments for select product lines, effective January 5, 2026. The company underscored that this decision was reached after a protracted period of grappling with mounting cost pressures, with the primary goal of securing a stable supply chain.
Previously, Lenovo had already communicated its decision to adjust prices across its entire product range. Meanwhile, Dell and ASUS had initially made targeted price revisions for specific product categories. Leading manufacturers, including HP and Acer, have also reached a consensus on implementing price increases. Consequently, it is anticipated that in January 2026, a host of major PC vendors will commence shipping their products at the newly adjusted prices.
