LG Electronics has declared that it will introduce its latest frame-style art TV, the Gallery TV, at the forthcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES). This move places it in direct competition with art TVs like Samsung's The Frame. The Gallery TV comes in two sizes: 55-inch and 65-inch. It boasts an integrated wall-mount design, with a body thickness that has been further refined to ensure a seamless blend into home interiors. One of its standout features is the customizable magnetic frames, which empower users to effortlessly switch the frame material and color to match their interior design preferences.
From a technological standpoint, the Gallery TV is outfitted with the cutting-edge 4K MiniLED backlight panel and LG's proprietary Alpha 7 AI processor. It leverages AI image enhancement algorithms to accurately depict the fine brushstrokes and vibrant hues of artworks. For art display purposes, LG has crafted a 'Gallery Mode' that optimizes screen brightness and color gamut performance automatically, thanks to museum-quality color calibration technology.
Moreover, the product incorporates a new-generation anti-reflective coating and wide-angle viewing technology. It also features an intelligent ambient light sensor that keeps track of real-time environmental brightness changes and adjusts color temperature and contrast settings accordingly. The LG Gallery TV also offers the LG Gallery+ paid subscription service, granting users access to over 4,500 artworks and supporting generative AI capabilities to transform personal photos into artworks.
