On December 15, 2025, vivo formally unveiled the vivo S50 series, comprising two variants: the standard vivo S50 and the more compact vivo S50 Pro mini. With a starting price tag of 2999 yuan, this series is set to hit the shelves officially on December 19.

The series is centered around the theme of being a 'Masterpiece of Live Telephoto Photography.' All models in the lineup are outfitted with a Sony IMX882 large-sensor periscope telephoto lens. This lens features a substantial 1/1.95-inch sensor and delivers a remarkable 50-megapixel resolution, enabling zoom capabilities up to 10x. Moreover, it incorporates the same portrait algorithm that ensures clear and natural images as seen in vivo's flagship models. The series also comes with second-generation 3D ultrasonic fingerprint technology and is powered by a robust 6500mAh Blue Ocean battery. Notably, the vivo S50 Pro mini stands out as one of the pioneers to be driven by the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 chip.
