Based on information from The Information, several sources with direct involvement in Apple's product development and its suppliers' operations have disclosed that Apple is set to substantially broaden its smartphone product range over the forthcoming two years. By autumn 2027, the tech giant anticipates unveiling at least seven new flagship iPhone models. Notably, the inaugural foldable iPhone is projected to hit the market in autumn 2026. According to project insiders, when unfolded, this device will boast a width exceeding its height, giving it a form factor reminiscent of a more compact iPad. Furthermore, Apple has plans to roll out a premium model in 2027, which will feature a curved glass body and an under-display front-facing camera, aiming to achieve a seamless, hole-free front display.

To manage the challenges posed by this expanding product lineup, Apple will revise its release schedule starting from 2026. High-end models will be introduced in the autumn, while the release of standard models will be shifted to the spring of the subsequent year.
