Xinhua News Agency, Helsinki, December 14 – The Finnish National Technical Research Center released a statement today, announcing that a European research team, under its leadership and drawing inspiration from human vision, has successfully developed a highly energy-efficient machine vision system. This innovative system integrates neuromorphic computing with cutting-edge semiconductor technology, empowering intelligent robots, drones, and other devices to function autonomously in scenarios such as post-earthquake rescue operations. This is achieved without the necessity for constant network connectivity or cumbersome battery support. The project, known as the Multispectral Embedded Low-Power Neural Computing Intelligent Vision System, was launched in 2021 and is now on the verge of completion.
