Apple Inc. was unsuccessful in reversing a judge's censure for failing to adhere to court directives. However, it secured a fresh chance to justify its practice of imposing fees on developers for transactions occurring outside the App Store. Amid its long-standing feud with Epic Games, a federal appeals court on Thursday rejected the iPhone manufacturer's appeal against an April verdict. This verdict had concluded that Apple had deliberately flouted a judge's mandate, following the judge's determination that Apple had engaged in monopolistic practices in violation of California law.
