The "Tianmushan No. 1," a hydrogen-powered multi-rotor drone independently developed by Beihang University's Tianmushan Laboratory, has recently etched its name in history by achieving a new world record. It flew nonstop for over 188 kilometers, earning the title for the "longest flight distance by a multi-rotor drone powered by hydrogen fuel cells." This groundbreaking drone features a wheelbase of 1.6 meters and tips the scales at around 19 kilograms, marking it as the world's inaugural hydrogen-powered multi-rotor drone capable of long-range flights exceeding 100 kilometers. It took to the skies for its inaugural flight in August 2024 and commenced mass production in April of this year, paving the way for extensive use in inspection, logistics, rescue operations, and surveying endeavors.
