As reported by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, on December 11, the 'Jiutian' UAV soared into the skies and successfully accomplished its inaugural flight in Pucheng, Shaanxi Province. This UAV stands as a testament to China's independent innovation, embodying a large-scale, versatile UAV platform.

The design of the 'Jiutian' UAV is centered around a 'universal platform + modular mission payload' concept. This ingenious approach endows it with a multitude of advantages, including a substantial payload capacity, the ability to reach high altitudes, a broad speed spectrum, and the capability for short takeoffs and landings.

In terms of its physical dimensions, the aircraft boasts a length of 16.35 meters and a wingspan stretching 25 meters. Its maximum takeoff weight is an impressive 16 tons, with a payload capacity reaching up to 6,000 kilograms. Moreover, it can stay airborne for 12 hours and cover a ferry range of 7,000 kilometers.
