On December 11, reports surfaced indicating that Apple’s first-generation, lightweight AppleGlass is projected to make its debut in 2026, most likely at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Mass production and a subsequent market release are planned for 2027. Positioned as a lightweight smart wearable within the Apple ecosystem, AppleGlass will not feature independent computing capabilities or an AR display. Instead, it will come equipped with multiple built-in cameras capable of capturing photos and videos. The device is expected to receive intelligent support, such as that provided by advanced AI models, through an upgraded version of Siri. Furthermore, Apple is in the process of developing a custom chip specifically for the AppleGlass. This chip will primarily manage the multiple cameras and handle basic AI tasks, ensuring that high power consumption does not adversely affect battery life.
