At the Geek Park IF 2026 Conference, Luo Yonghao, the Chairman of Smartisan, disclosed that a leading domestic mobile phone company had approached him with an offer to head their mobile phone division as an executive partner. The dialogue between the two entities spanned over a year, yet, owing to divergent product visions, Luo Yonghao ultimately turned down the proposition. Interestingly, another prominent company, which he had his eye on, did not come forward with an offer.

Luo Yonghao also recounted a humorous episode involving his visit to a preeminent Chinese AI expert, who had been lured away from OpenAI. This expert had, on two separate occasions, applied for internships at Smartisan, only to be met with rejection both times.

Luo Yonghao articulated that his current endeavors are centered around developing operating system-level products that seamlessly blend software and hardware. He is of the belief that mobile phones will remain indispensable over the next decade, while the eyewear supply chain's full-fledged development is projected to take over ten years. Consequently, he intends to maintain a keen interest in the mobile phone sector.

Furthermore, traces of Smartisan's branding were unearthed in ByteDance's newly launched Doubao mobile phone assistant software system.
