On November 25th, analysts at Fubon Research projected that the upcoming Apple foldable smartphone, dubbed the iPhone Fold, might carry a price tag of $2,399, roughly translating to RMB 17,040. Prior to this, Ming-Chi Kuo, a renowned Apple analyst, had estimated the price to fall within the range of $2,000 to $2,500. Meanwhile, Mark Gurman had anticipated a price point close to $2,000.
Details have emerged indicating that the prototype of the iPhone Fold boasts an internal screen measuring approximately 7.8 inches. The battery capacity of the test model is reported to range between 5,400mAh and 5,800mAh. Samsung is the sole supplier of the screen, which features an aspect ratio of 14.1:10, giving it a resemblance to an iPad when fully unfolded.
Moreover, the iPhone Fold is expected to be powered by an A20 series chip and will sport a dual rear camera setup, along with front-facing cameras on both the internal and external screens. For security, it will incorporate side fingerprint recognition technology, though it will not support Face ID.
