Recently, the Special Aircraft Research Institute under the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) and Zhejiang Airspace Integration Low-Altitude Industry Development Co., Ltd. have formally inked a procurement deal for 18 AS700 "Xiangyun" manned airships. Following the expression of intent to purchase airships at the China Airshow back in November 2024, the two entities forged a strategic cooperation framework agreement in 2025 and proceeded to place substantial orders. This move marks a significant transition from 'single-product transactions' to 'comprehensive full-chain collaboration.' In November of this year, the AS700 manned airship made its way to Shaoxing's Jianshui Science and Technology City. This event not only signifies the successful delivery of the inaugural airship in eastern China but also underscores the seamless integration of the entire lifecycle of domestically produced manned airships, encompassing development, production, certification, delivery, and operation.
