CAICT: September 2025 Sees 10.1% YoY Rise in Domestic Mobile Phone Shipments

Data released in a report by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) reveals that in September 2025, the shipment volume of domestic mobile phones soared to 27.931 million units, marking a significant year-on-year (YoY) increase of 10.1%. Breaking down the figures, 5G mobile phones took the lead, with shipments reaching 24.106 million units and accounting for a substantial 86.3% of the total shipment volume. When it comes to brand origin, mobile phones from domestic brands shone brightly, with shipments hitting 23.644 million units and making up 84.7% of the total. Furthermore, smartphone shipments stood at 25.617 million units, representing a dominant 91.7% of the overall shipment volume.
