He stated that the PC industry has stepped into the Angstrom Era.
Earlier, Intel took the wraps off its next - generation AI PC platform, which goes by the codename Panther Lake. This platform leverages Intel's latest 18A process technology. It's a groundbreaking achievement as it marks the first client system - on - a - chip (SoC) built on this particular process. The Intel 18A process is set to be the technological cornerstone for the upcoming three generations of PC and data center products.
In the meantime, Intel isn't resting on its laurels. The company has already embarked on research into even more advanced process technologies, like the Intel 14A.
Gao Song further divulged that the development of the next - generation AI PC platform is well underway. And fans can expect to see the official launch of Panther Lake at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January next year.
