As reported by Bloomberg's seasoned journalist Mark Gurman, Apple has, for the most part, turned its back on the Mac Pro product range. The company reportedly has no intentions of rolling out an updated iteration of the Mac Pro either before the close of 2025 or in 2026. The ambitious M4 Ultra chip project, which was initially earmarked for the new Mac Pro, has been scrapped. This move has effectively put an end to the development of the entire machine. While Apple is anticipated to introduce the M5 Ultra as its next-generation, top-tier desktop processor, there are no current plans to incorporate it into the Mac Pro lineup. At present, the Mac Studio has emerged as the flagship bearer of Apple's professional desktop computer strategy, embodying the company's vision for high-performance computing.
