Following over a year of intensive discussions, Apple and Tencent have successfully concluded what can be described as a "landmark agreement." Apple has officially rolled out the App Store Mini Program Partner Program. This program is designed to manage payment transactions for mini programs integrated within iOS and iPadOS applications, with a particular focus on WeChat—a platform that encompasses virtual content consumption, such as gaming. Under this new arrangement, Apple will impose a 15% commission fee, effectively slashing the previous rate by half, which stood at 30%.
