As reported by MacRumors, JPMorgan's latest investment research report reveals that all top-tier models in Apple's upcoming iPhone 18 series will boast a 24-megapixel front-facing camera. This marks a notable improvement over the 18-megapixel camera found in the iPhone 17 series. Earlier speculation had suggested that the iPhone 17 series would feature a 24-megapixel front-facing camera, but that prediction did not come to pass. This enhancement will be applied across the board to the iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, the next-gen iPhone Air, as well as Apple's inaugural foldable iPhone. The goal is to deliver sharper selfie images and more refined portrait bokeh effects. Additionally, the JPMorgan report highlights that Apple's foldable iPhone will be the first in the industry to incorporate a 24-megapixel under-display front-facing camera, seamlessly integrated into the device's internal display. On the other hand, the more budget-friendly options, the iPhone 17e and iPhone 18e, are expected to retain a 12-megapixel front-facing camera.
