The China Mobile 5G Mobile Phone Product White Paper (2026 Edition) has been formally unveiled, outlining explicit eSIM requirements. Specifically, each eSIM-enabled device can only incorporate a single eSIM card chip. This chip must be integrated within the device in a non-removable manner and should feature a 'device-card locking' mechanism. In the event that the eSIM card is extracted and inserted into a different, non-original device, the service will be automatically discontinued. Furthermore, once the device detects that the eSIM card has been switched, it will prevent the activation of the newly inserted card.
