On November 6, Counterpoint Research released its most recent Market Monitor Report, revealing that the revenue generated by the global smartphone market witnessed a 5% year-on-year surge in the third quarter of 2025. The revenue reached a staggering $112 billion, marking a historic peak for this particular quarter.
In the same timeframe, the global number of smartphone shipments also experienced a 4% year-on-year uptick, with a total of 320 million units being dispatched.
Looking to the future, as the trend towards premium smartphones gains momentum and the market penetration of foldable smartphones continues to rise, it is anticipated that both the global smartphone ASP (average selling price) and overall revenue will maintain an upward trajectory throughout 2025.
