Multiple sources have revealed that Samsung Electronics is set to organize its global 'Galaxy Unpacked' event in San Francisco, USA, on February 25, 2026. This event will mark the official debut of its next-generation Galaxy S26 series of smartphones. The product lineup for this much-anticipated launch comprises the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra.
San Francisco, renowned as a pivotal center for artificial intelligence technology, offers Samsung a perfect platform to display its new range of AI-driven smartphones. Initially, Samsung contemplated replacing the 'Plus' variant with an 'Edge' model. However, owing to the lackluster market response to the Galaxy S25 Edge, the company ultimately opted to revert to its traditional three-model configuration: 'Standard,' 'Plus,' and 'Ultra.'
In terms of core performance, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is projected to be powered by Qualcomm's latest fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Supreme chip. Additionally, there's a possibility that certain markets will receive a version equipped with Samsung's proprietary Exynos 2600 chip. The new device is set to offer up to 16GB of RAM and a whopping 1TB of flash storage.
For the display, the phone will boast a 6.89-inch M14 OLED panel with CoE technology. This innovation not only makes the screen thinner but also enhances light transmittance. When it comes to the imaging system, the S26 Ultra's main camera will retain its 200-megapixel resolution. However, the aperture is expected to see an improvement, widening from f/1.7 to f/1.4, thereby boosting light intake. The device will also feature a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel 5x periscope telephoto lens.
Battery and charging specifications have undergone enhancements as well. The S26 Ultra will maintain a 5000mAh battery capacity. Yet, the wired charging power is projected to increase from 45W to 60W. Moreover, it is expected to support the Qi2.2 wireless charging standard, with a maximum power output of 25W, and incorporate a built-in magnetic attachment module.
