A well - known digital blogger has disclosed that Apple is gearing up to launch its foldable smartphone, dubbed the iPhone Fold, in the coming year. The anticipated price of this device could be on par with that of Huawei's Mate X6. The iPhone Fold is designed to resemble a book. When unfolded horizontally, its screen size comes close to that of an iPad mini. In terms of technology, the iPhone Fold will integrate cutting - edge features such as LTPO+ flexible OLED panels. The screen for this device will be supplied by Samsung Display. Reports suggest that the inner screen of the iPhone Fold may measure 7.58 inches, while the outer screen could be 5.38 inches. Moreover, there are whispers in the tech world that Apple might unveil the iPhone Flip as early as 2028. However, Mizuho Securities in Japan has a different take. They predict that the launch of the first foldable iPhone could be pushed back to 2027. This delay is mainly due to the fact that more time is required to finalize the design and specifications of crucial components, especially the hinge. This situation poses a significant challenge to Apple's original plan, which was to start mass production in the third quarter of 2026 and release the phone in September, coinciding with the launch of the iPhone 18 series.
