On September 8, Xiaomi Group's Professional Ethics Committee issued a statement regarding its decision on Wang Teng's case. Citing severe breaches including the leaking of company secrets and conflicts of interest, the committee announced Wang Teng's dismissal. In response, Wang Teng accepted the disciplinary action but refuted accusations of stealing and selling secrets as well as accepting bribes. He acknowledged his negligence and expressed his commitment to introspection. Recently, Wang Teng announced on social media that, due to non-compete clauses and personal considerations, he would be bidding farewell to the mobile phone industry. He is set to embark on a new journey in the technology and health sector starting from November. Previously, despite stepping down from his executive role, Wang Teng continued to promote Xiaomi mobile phones on October 17. On the same day, Xu Fei, Vice President of Xiaomi Group, announced that Wei Siqi would assume the position of General Manager of the Marketing Department for the China region.
