During a special launch event, Huawei officially took the wraps off HarmonyOS 6.0. This operating system is designed to deliver a visually appealing, user - centric, intelligent, secure, and seamless experience.

It is built on the new Hongmeng Xinghe Interconnection Architecture. This architecture boasts robust connectivity and sensing capabilities, with data transfer speeds reaching up to 160MB/s. Moreover, it significantly cuts down on latency and power consumption, achieving reductions of over 20%.

HarmonyOS 6.0 also brings an innovative collaborative experience to the table. It allows for control linkage with DJI devices. Additionally, it enables file sharing with a range of devices, including those running on iOS.

Looking ahead, it is anticipated that in December 2025, HarmonyOS 6.0 will roll out data interoperability features with iOS. Once implemented, the Hongmeng Xinghe Interconnection App will be able to facilitate the transfer of photos, videos, files, and contacts between qualified Huawei and Apple devices.
