On October 31st, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reported that China's electronic information manufacturing sector witnessed a swift expansion in production during the first three quarters of this year. Specifically, the added value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above the designated scale rose by 10.9% year-on-year. This growth rate outpaced that of the overall industrial sector by 4.7 percentage points and the high-tech manufacturing sector by 1.3 percentage points during the same period. Focusing on key products, smartphone production soared to 881 million units, marking a 1% year-on-year increase. Meanwhile, the total output of mobile phones reached 1.11 billion units. The production volume of microcomputer equipment stood at 251 million units, showing no change from the corresponding period last year. Additionally, integrated circuit production hit 381.9 billion units, reflecting an 8.6% year-on-year surge.
