Nikon has rolled out firmware version 3.00 for its full-frame mirrorless camera, the Nikon Zf. This update introduces an innovative film grain effect and enhances various operational facets. By employing image processing techniques, this feature endows photos and videos with a grainy texture, granting users the flexibility to fine-tune the grain size and intensity according to their preferences. The grain distribution exhibits a random pattern and can be creatively paired with diverse color schemes. However, it's worth noting that certain functions may be restricted during video recording. To aid in focus and composition, the peak focus assist feature now includes an 'Only during zoom' setting. Additionally, a new 'Maximum Aperture Lv' function has been incorporated. The live view display for both photos and videos has been expanded to encompass new grid types, namely '4:3' and '9:16', offering photographers and videographers more options for framing their shots.
