As reported by Bloomberg, Apple is currently in the process of developing upgraded iterations of the iPad mini, iPad Air, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air, all of which will incorporate OLED displays. Presently, the iPad Pro already boasts an OLED screen, and Apple has outlined plans to extend the adoption of this cutting-edge technology to a broader range of devices in the foreseeable future, with a gradual phase-out of LCD screens. Notably, the iPad mini is projected to be the pioneer in this transition, with an anticipated upgrade to OLED technology scheduled for 2026. Following closely, the iPad Air is expected to embrace OLED displays in 2027. The MacBook Pro, too, is slated to feature OLED screens during its upcoming refresh, potentially as early as 2026. Meanwhile, the OLED variant of the MacBook Air is not anticipated to hit the market until after 2028.
