Recently, data on global PC shipments for the third quarter of 2025 has been made public. Notably, Lenovo claimed the top spot, shipping 19.4 million units and recording a remarkable 17.4% year-on-year growth. Following Lenovo, HP, Dell, Apple, and ASUS secured the second to fifth positions, respectively, with all experiencing year-on-year increases in shipments.

During this quarter, the worldwide shipments of desktops, notebooks, and workstations combined reached 72 million units, marking a 6.8% rise compared to the same period last year. Specifically, notebook shipments surged to 57.2 million units, up by 4%, while desktop shipments soared to 15.2 million units, reflecting a 17% increase.

According to an analysis by a relevant agency, the primary catalyst for the growth in both shipments and activations was the widespread demand for equipment upgrades across the industry. A survey conducted among PC channel partners revealed that 39% of respondents reported that nearly all their clients' PCs had undergone upgrades. Meanwhile, 18% indicated that their clients intended to continue using their current PCs even after the end of Windows 10 support, opting instead for extended security updates. The research director emphasized that following the discontinuation of Windows 10 services, the demand for PC upgrades remained robust among both enterprises and consumers.
