The eSIM mobile phone service has officially received regulatory approval. On October 13, China Telecom secured clearance from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to initiate commercial trials for eSIM-enabled mobile phones. Similarly, China Mobile and China Unicom were also granted approval to conduct commercial trials for this innovative service. Prior to this, Apple unveiled the iPhone Air, a device that exclusively supports eSIM technology. Originally slated for pre-sale on September 12, the model did not make its anticipated debut.
