Fortunately, the Apple Watch Ultra's sophisticated technology came to the rescue. Upon detecting this sudden and abnormal ascent, the watch first flashed a notification on its screen to alert the diver. Subsequently, it triggered an emergency alert.

The nearby diving instructor, quickly noticing the abnormal situation indicated by the watch's alert, sprang into action and promptly rescued Kshitij.

After the ordeal, a grateful Kshitij penned a letter to express his heartfelt thanks to Apple. In a remarkable gesture, Apple's CEO Tim Cook responded to him personally.

Reflecting on the incident, Kshitij remarked that had he not been wearing the Apple Watch Ultra, the instructor might not have noticed his perilous situation in time. The rapid ascent, without timely intervention, could have had fatal consequences.
