On Wednesday, Microsoft revealed that the monthly subscription fee for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will see a 50% increase, jumping to $29.99, with the change taking effect right away. This $10 price surge is part of a broader set of adjustments made to all Game Pass subscription tiers. Notably, while the costs for the Basic and Premium tiers remain stable, the Game Pass Core tier will now be folded into the Basic tier. Meanwhile, subscribers to the Standard tier will be given the choice to upgrade to the Premium tier. Microsoft emphasized that these ongoing enhancements to the service are designed to deliver greater value, more perks, and access to an even wider array of high-caliber games for each subscription tier.
