Chinese repair technician @Master Feng's Mobile Repair has successfully tackled the recognition challenges associated with iPhone Air chip expansion, notably upgrading a device from a 256GB capacity to a 512GB one. Initially, Master Feng adhered to the conventional repair protocol by swapping out the storage chip and wiping the data from the original 256GB component. Nevertheless, post-replacement, the new chip remained unrecognized, and a 4014 error surfaced during the firmware update process, signaling a malfunction.

Upon thorough investigation, the root cause was identified as compatibility issues with high-speed hard drives. In a stroke of ingenuity, Master Feng managed to source a compatible high-speed NAND hard drive, enabling him to carry out the expansion without the need for any motherboard modifications. The actual performance test yielded an impressive score of 153,000 points, significantly outperforming the original hard drive's capabilities.
