Earlier, a number of users observed noticeable scratches on the rear of iPhone 17 series display models at Apple retail outlets, leading to suspicions of a material flaw. Nevertheless, Apple subsequently released a statement refuting these claims, explaining that the scratches were instead caused by problems with the bracket material employed for the display models. Following an in-depth investigation, it was discovered that after multiple attachments, the metallic substance on the bracket edges would rub off onto the back of the device.
