On September 26, the 2025 OnePlus Gaming Conference took place in Beijing. During the event, Li Jie, the President of OnePlus China, declared that the company was set to usher the mobile gaming experience into an era of ultra-high 165 FPS frame rates. To make this a reality, OnePlus rolled out two exclusive gaming technologies: the 'Fengchi Gaming Kernel' and the 'Esports Triple-Core'. Notably, the 'Fengchi Gaming Kernel' is slated to make its first appearance in the OnePlus 15, which is scheduled for release in October. This innovative technology facilitates a full-stack implementation of 165 FPS by harmonizing the scheduling of the CPU, GPU, and NPU. It optimizes the efficiency of chip kernel scheduling, and at the same time, diminishes both kernel load and the overall power consumption of the device. At present, OnePlus has teamed up with several well-known mobile games to drive forward the adaptation of the 165 FPS mode. When compared to the 120 FPS mode, this new mode not only elevates the display and touch response speeds but also cuts down on operational latency. Li Jie further disclosed that the OnePlus 15 will be the pioneer in featuring the 'Fengchi Gaming Kernel' and will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform. This combination is anticipated to bring about substantial enhancements in gaming frame rates and power consumption management.
