A thorough examination by digital blogger JerryRigEverything uncovered that the iPhone 17 Pro is particularly susceptible to scratches around the camera area. This is in contrast to the more commonly observed scratches on MagSafe charging contact points, which are typically seen on retail demo units. In response to these findings, Apple customer service clarified that the frame of the iPhone 17 series is crafted from aluminum metal. They explained that this material is more prone to dents and scratches compared to titanium. To mitigate this issue, Apple recommended that users employ a phone case to help protect their devices from scratches.
