On September 19, Microsoft released a statement revealing that, in response to alterations in the macroeconomic environment, it would implement a price hike for the suggested retail prices of several Xbox consoles across the United States, effective from October. Microsoft made it abundantly clear that the costs of accessories like controllers and headsets would remain untouched, and prices in other countries and regions would stay consistent as well. Following this adjustment, the base price for the Xbox Series S will jump to $399, marking a $20 increase from its previous price. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X digital edition will see its price soar to $599, and the disc edition will climb to $649, both experiencing a $50 uptick.
